Course Description

Theory of small oscillations of discrete or discretized systems of high dimensionality; formulation of equations of motion using Lagrange's equation and influence coefficients; natural frequencies and modes; numerical methods; free vibrations and forced vibration characteristics; assembly of large systems from subsystems concepts by impedance techniques;Theory of small oscillations of continuous systems; Love's equations for thin shells
