Course Description

Health policy, ethics, professional codes of conduct and law, basic skills in performing surgical procedures, principles of nursing surgical patients, nutritional care of surgical patients, nursing specific to surgical diseases, nursing of the elderly, nursing of palliative care patients, use of technology and information for the development of surgical nursing, systematic management and quality management of surgical nursing.

Learning Outcome

• Explain health policies and laws related to nursing surgical patients.
• Demonstrate ethical and moral behavior in caring for surgical patients, taking into account ethical principles, ethical decision-making, and professional laws.
• Perform duties as a professional nurse in the surgical ward in accordance with the principles of nursing surgical patients.
• Transfer clinical knowledge to nursing students, nursing practitioners, and nursing assistants.
• Use nursing technology and information to manage clinical data for the development of quality nursing care for surgical patients.
